T.V Drama.Do i like it? I guess it depends what you constitute as a T.V Drama. Today at school we got a powerpoint slide featuring pictures of shows like The Inbetweeners,Skins,Eastenders and Glee and i really did think what is a T.V Drama.
Don't get me wrong i love The Inbetweeners,Skins and Eastenders but for me personally i never have thought of any of them as T.V Drama. The Inbetweeners to me i quite clearly a comedy show. Not a sitcom or panel show but hardly a drama. Eastenders might be called a "T.V Drama" but we all know its a soap and to me thats a different genre. I guess Skins is a T.V Drama but even Skins seems a world apart from the shows i classed as T.V Drama.
Shows like Foyles War, E.R, Mad Men, The Wire and Lost have defined for me personally what a T.V Drama was in the last decade but i suppose now its an umbrella term which can describe pretty much everything from Band of Brothers to Dr Who and of course within in this huge Genre you have the T.V I absolutely hate.Sex and the City,Ugly Betty and Glee to name but a few. So all that being said I think that my relationship with T.V Drama is as normal as you could find with any teenager but within that Genre of T.V are many many sub-genres like Sci-Fi, Detective,Comedy etc. that you will find I have a huge interest in. Considering though that you have a Gossip Girl for every Spooks...Yep I like it just about on the whole.
